How to Use
Firm when dry. Soft when wet.
Here’s the ritual.
Four simple steps to softer, renewed skin — and a loofah that lasts.

- 01
Wet it
Run your loofah under warm water for about a minute. It arrives firm and fibrous — that firmness is the mark of a truly natural loofah, not a defect.
- 02
Let it soften
As it absorbs water, the fibers relax and expand into a gentle, pliable scrubber. The more you use it, the softer its everyday texture becomes.
- 03
Lather & exfoliate
Add your favorite soap or body wash and massage in circular motions. The natural fibers lift away dull skin without harsh synthetic mesh.
- 04
Rinse & hang to dry
Rinse it well after each shower and let it air-dry fully between uses. A dry loofah is a long-lasting loofah.
First time? Give it a minute.
A brand-new loofah feels the firmest it will ever feel. After its first few showers, its everyday softened texture settles in. If it feels too intense at first, soak it a little longer and use lighter pressure.
Care
Make it last
Air-dry between uses
Keep it out of standing water and let it dry completely — this preserves the fibers and keeps it fresh.
Refresh it now and then
An occasional rinse in warm water with a little vinegar, then a full dry in a ventilated spot, keeps it at its best.
Know when to replace
With regular use, replace your loofah every few weeks — that is why every Selvah pack comes with two.
Retire it to the kitchen
An older bath loofah makes a great plastic-free scrubber for dishes and surfaces before it heads to the compost.
