Frequently asked questions

That's completely normal — not a defect. Selvah loofah is naturally dried and arrives firm and fibrous. Run it under warm water for about a minute and it softens into a gentle exfoliating scrubber. Firm when dry, soft when wet — that's the signature of a genuinely natural loofah.

With normal shower use, a Selvah loofah lasts several weeks to a couple of months. Rinse it well and let it air-dry fully between uses to extend its life. Every pack includes two, so you always have a fresh one ready.

Yes — once softened in water, it exfoliates gently without harsh synthetic fibers. If your skin is very sensitive, soak it a little longer before first use and start with lighter pressure.

Yes. Selvah loofah is the dried fruit of the loofah vine, grown in Brazil and hand-selected — no dyes, no bleach, no synthetic treatment. It is fully biodegradable and compostable.

Absolutely. Many customers keep a spare in the kitchen for natural, plastic-free dish and surface scrubbing — a great second life for an older bath loofah.

Rinse it after each use and hang it to air-dry completely. An occasional rinse in warm water with a little vinegar, followed by a full dry, keeps it fresh. When it has done its work, it can go straight into the compost.
